Why is raw honey so important?

Raw honey is a humectant. What does humectant mean? It’s a hygroscopic substance used to keep things moist. Humectants are used in hair and skin care products to promote moisture retention. They have the ability to attract water from the atmosphere.

Raw honey has many benefits trapped in it’s stickiness. As listed on the ingredients page, honey has many effects for skin and hair.

Skin-saving properties:

  • Natural anti-bacterial which is good for acne prone skin.
  • Antioxidants to slow down aging skin.
  • Improves complexion and moisturizes skin for a healthy-looking glow.
  • Unclogs pores by opening them up.
