Creamy Avocado Coconut Milk Deep Conditioner

Deep conditioner products can be expensive and/or carry a lot of chemicals that gives it that great slip for detangling but believe it, drying to your hair in the long run, especially for curly hair. With the avocado coconut milk deep conditioner, you take advantage of the nutrients from whole natural ingredients that nourishes your hair for strength, softness, and shine. Whoa, I just made that sound like a commercial, lol.

The oils in avocados are one of the few that can penetrate the cuticle and actually moisturize hair. Coconut milk contains a significant amount of protein, prevents shedding and breakage, adds moisture, reduces premature graying, and promotes hair growth. Honey seals moisture in your tresses for protection for hydration and shine.

This wonderful treatment has been my savior. I use it as a pre-wash conditioner and let it penetrate my tresses before I hop in the shower. It’s easier for me that way, but you can use it as an in between deep conditioner if you like.
Here’s what you need!

  1. 1/2 Ripe avocado
  2. 1/2 cup Coconut milk or cream
  3. 1 tbsp Raw honey
  4. 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  1. Slice the ripe avocado in half and scoop one of the halves with a spoon or fork into the blender container.
  2. Add the honey, coconut oil and the coconut milk. If you use coconut cream, which is thicker, you can add more oil or water to thin it out.
  3. Blend ingredients until it becomes a light creamy texture. (Use a Nutribullet or standard blender.)
  4. Divide hair into medium sections, detangle, and spritz lightly with water to damp the hair. (Damp hair will help to blend and penetrate the hair shaft.)
  5. Add a generous amount to the sections covering the hair from root to tip, and twist to keep section in tact.
  6. When the whole head is covered with the conditioner, cover head with a plastic cap (or grocery bag) to trap in the heat. You can wrap your head in a towel over the plastic cap to maintain more heat.
  7. Leave conditioner on hair for about an hour.
  8. Rinse hair thoroughly and proceed with washing routine.
  1. To speed up the process, you can sit under a dryer for approximately 20 mins. For extra conditioning, you can leave on for a long period of time or sleep with it wrapped up overnight.
